Because God so loved the world, He gave His Son as a gift to us all. Therefore, in turn, we give gifts to those we love commemorating God's gift of grace and salvation, that promises we will no longer be held captive of repented sins of the past, present, and future and enjoy eternal peace and happiness with Him.
