This is a road-twisting, cliff-hanging, gut-wrenching, heart-breaking, quest-driven story that whip-cracks the struggle between good and evil.

Was the star over Bethlehem more than just a star that appeared on a celestial clock, or was it on a divine clock that ushered in peace for the warring cave dwellers, and guided a prince to discover fragments of that star, and became a tool for the oracle in a cave to prepare the way for the birth of the Christ child?

Will the prince complete his quest for peace after surviving the bitter Siberian Mountains and marching through the deep burning sun-parched sands of the slave-trade wastelands?  Can he defeat the ruthless fur traders, evil-stinking robbers, and mean-as-hell soldiers after being smitten by a ravishing beauty of a Siberian princess?  Or will her ferocious Siberian grizzly guardian ravish him instead? …and what of the mysterious oracle who lives in the foothills of the Star Lake region wandering the dark halls of his candlelit cave telling stories of ancient warring cave dwellers and a fiery star?  What role does he play in this tale of wonder and treachery, “The Promise of Christmas”?

Discover how St. Nicholas and his flying sleigh and reindeer had its origins with the prince and his family…and how Christmas was first celebrated to include the building of the sleigh and why it flies in the Sequel, “The Sleighmaker”

Was it just the calm before the storm, like a thief lurking in the dark…or the ebbing tide just before the crash of a tidal wave?  Was Prince Ezra drawn into la-la-land when he returned to the comforts of his kingdom with his beautiful Siberian princes? so it seemed, until his son met a twelve-year-old boy named Jesus in a temple, and was handed a gift of carpenter tools from Jesus to take back to the cave dwellers in the Star Lake region of Siberia. Is this a mysterious link to the oracle in the cave, and the building of a sleigh that flies?

Will the prince endanger his family with the perils of traveling north? How will he overcome the rampaging armies gobbling up land for their empire, and dirt-bag sword-slashing thieves stalking the dangerous trade routes? How will he prevent them from killing him, taking his children as slaves, and stealing the special gift for the cave dwellers? Indeed, it becomes a screaming, sweat-breaking, hair-wrenching, knee-trembling nightmare.

From the very first moment the transcendental voice in the heavens whispers its cosmic instructions, until the final moments of this epic herculean adventure of the heart, this story will tease your curiosity into flying high like a roller-coaster sleigh-ride zipping through the star filled skies. This tale will alchemize, agonize, tantalize, emotionalize, and captivate your soul into graceful submission, filling it finally, with a peaceful desire…read it at your own peril.

When will Nikko begin to use his given name of Nicholas, and use the Sleigh to bring joy and happiness to children all over the world?  Was it just a dream that he met God and was told that in time he will know why, and how, his childhood friend Jesus will bring peace and joy to everyone who believed in his teachings?

With the passing of his Grandfather King Caspar, his father Prince Ezra takes over the Kingdom of Arabia as King Ezra and Nikko as Crown Prince Nicholas.  Life in the palace becomes tedious and boring without battles to win and land to conquer.  He is troubled by recurring dreams of zipping through the night sky with the sleigh and reindeer.  It seemed like a dream when it happened, and it’s been more than 20 years since he met Herald’s father who he called God, in a place where time stood still and where angels lived, high above Tobolsk.

Is this the time when Nikko is supposed to use the sleigh and reveal it to the world, or must he wait for Herald to tell him?  Or maybe it would be his friend Jesus who gave his carpenter tools and wood to build the sleigh who will tell him?  Jesus telling him would be the most logical person since it was he that knew about building it and that it could fly.  But how will he find Jesus to ask him?  These are questions that Nikko doesn’t have answers for.

Herald and Ivan have managed to keep the magical sleigh a secret and have it hidden in Herald’s cave.  However, while the sleigh is hidden away in a large secret chamber of the cave, only known to Herald, there is clear evidence that it is kept clean and polished by someone other than Herald.  When Ivan questions Herald about it, it only allows a more mysterious response from Herald, saying it is the little cave dwellers who do it for him.  Ivan wonders who they could be since Hannah and he were known to be the last descendants of the ancient cave dwellers.  Who are they, and how do they know where it is, and have access to it?  The mystery unfolds even more when Nikko returns to Tobolsk with his family and discovers the hidden chamber and evidence of the little cave dwellers.
